The CDC rang the alarm (thought not too loudly) in the name of HIV yesterday, in an effort to get more people–especially (Black)tan people–tested for HIV.

If you’re even remotely familiar with the place I call home, you may have seen our subway system plastered with advertisements either related to HIV/AIDS medications that can be secured “fo’ free!” or about the disease itself. The statistics are indeed breathtaking when one considers–as they wait uncomfortably for the green line train–how many people are scared to death by these billboards??? Forget the disease!
